Description

Sea Slyme TAG Color (033-061) – COE 33 – Cane

Pricing is per pound.

Sea Slyme is a variation on our popular Slyme green: it ranges from transparent where thin or heated more, to translucent with a milky strike where it’s worked cooler. But instead of an ectoplasmic green, this glass is a beautiful sea foam light blue-green. The COE is a little bit high, like anything in the Slyme family. And like other Slymes, this glass likes a soft flame, especially when starting cold. We prefer a bushy soft neutral to slightly reducing flame with this color. Generally speaking, if you get scuzz on the surface, turn down the oxygen and go a bit slower. If you are getting any graying, turn down the gas a little. In the images you can see a honeycombed section; this color will go whiter under encasement but holds a bit more of it’s color this way than the regular Slyme.

Trautman Art Glass is a manufacturer of high-quality colored glass rods for artists who work glass in a torch flame. They hand-batch borosilicate color for lampworkers (COE 33), including the popular self-striking Red Elvis glass.
