Experiment #73 Timber is a new cadmium based forest green glass. In response to artists seeking a millefiori safe green, Northstar has responded with a new wonderful cadmium in addition to our latest color NS-150 Roswell. This experiment is at the most saturated point without sacrificing the color of the glass. As a smooth working cadmium, this color is slightly translucent when blown out or stretched thin. Let the heat sink in to avoid burning or boiling the glass.
Northstar Glassworks is a Tigard, Oregon based manufacturer of Borocolour® rod, frit, powder, tube, cane and Precision 104 soft glass for glass artists far and wide. Northstar Glass rods range between 15 to 20 inches in length. The diameter will vary between 5mm to 8mm.
