NS-57 Midnight is a deep fully opaque blue. It is great for stringers and thin cane work and can be stretched out far! It is heat and flame sensitive. It must be warmed up slowly and once glowing heat gently. Because the color is so intense it must worked in an oxidizing flame. If the flame is not oxidizing enough, the color will develop grayish brown streaks.
Northstar Glassworks is a Tigard, Oregon based manufacturer of Borocolour® rod, frit, powder, tube, cane and Precision 104 soft glass for glass artists far and wide. Northstar Glass rods range between 15 to 20 inches in length. The diameter will vary between 5mm to 8mm.
