NS-32 Violet is a light transparent redish purple. It is atmospherically stable meaning it can be worked in any flame without the color being changed. It is also resistant to excessive heat, and can take a lot of abuse. Because NS-32 Violet washes out when thinned most regard it as a color for sculpture only. However, like the other transparent colors, Violet is well suited as an overlay color. It looks great over NS-13 Amber/Purple.
Northstar Glassworks is a Tigard, Oregon based manufacturer of Borocolour® rod, frit, powder, tube, cane and Precision 104 soft glass for glass artists far and wide. Northstar Glass rods range between 15 to 20 inches in length. The diameter will vary between 5mm to 8mm.
