NS-24 Transparent Green is a transparent emerald green. It is intense enough for blown work and looks great in sculpture. NS-24 is sensitive to atmosphere and in order to maintain its original color, work in an oxidizing flame. If worked in a reducing flame, NS-24 will develop brick red streaks. Try layering Transparent Green over NS-53 Forest Green or NS-27 Green Exotic for exciting effects.
Northstar Glassworks is a Tigard, Oregon based manufacturer of Borocolour® rod, frit, powder, tube, cane and Precision 104 soft glass for glass artists far and wide. Northstar Glass rods range between 15 to 20 inches in length. The diameter will vary between 5mm to 8mm.
